cfc45

Okay peoples.  I was busy this Sunday trying to get my cards together for the greeting card challenges.  So far I submitted my winners in one contest but this entry is for the CAS-ual Fridays contest.  They are asking for cards using pastels and black.  My entry is below...

I got a new camera but haven't mastered it's features yet so please forgive the formatting of the picture.  Still I think my entry is cute!  Good luck me!

CPS #258 (entry 2)

Okay, if you thought the first entry was cute...try this one!

So let's see.  The next post is for another contest.  Stay tuned...

CPS #258 (first entry)

Hey all!  It's the end of another beautiful weekend and it's back to work tomorrow morning.  This weekend I decided to compete in a couple of contests so the next few blogs are dedicated to such.  Wish me well!  here goes entry number one for the Card Positioning Systems competition # 258.

Here is the sketch:

And here is my first entry (I'm submitting two)...

Cute and simple.  Hope it wins!

City Gal

Hey all!  Hope everything is cool with you on this nice spring morning.  I'm stll doing my thing making cards like a crazy person!  But its fun and relaxing and very necessary for me to do.

I live in the city.  I'm a city gal and wouldn't change it for the world!  I love the people, the noise, and all the fun things to do.  So when I saw the city scene in the Cricut's Paper Dolls cartridge I couldn't help but make a card or two with that die cut.  Check them out...

I just love them!  Hope you do too!  I think the Paper Doll cartridge is going to be my favorite one.  I love the Forever Young one too.  I love them all!  LOL!

Thanks for dropping by.  See you all soon!

Spring?

Hey People!

I hope you all are enjoying the nice weather we are having.  Spring is definitely in the air,  And tonight we turn the clocks up--a definite sign that Spring will be here in no time!  Enjoy it all!

I went outside to enjoy the weather a bit, but of course came back in to cook, clean and......what else...to make some cards!  LOL!  I need a therapist...quick!  But really this is my therapy...I enjoy it so.  It gives me a chance to destress, reflect and relax!  And while I was doing exactly that today, this is what I came up with...

I made these two on request for some special young ladies.  I hope they will be enjoyed by the recipients!  I am available to you too in case you want to send a special greeting to a loved one or friend.  Just email me at brichowz@optonline.net.  Hope to hear from you soon!

Shoe Madness

Hey all!  I'm winding down from a nice weekend.  Didn't do anything special but just enjoyed my family and friends.  I also went shopping at one of my favorite stores, Michael's, where they had a great sale on some of the papers and embellishments I like to use on my cards.

I ran across some great scrapbook paper that was so cute.  Animal print embossed paper packs that when I looked at the papers I immediately thought of my favorite things...shoes!  Of course I bought it and couldn't wait to get home to use the papers.  I went home and made these cards...

I wish I could buy some shoes and bags just like those!  Got to speak to 9 West or somebody about that!  I hope you love them as much as I love them!

I found out that there was a winner in that contest (they call it a challenge)  I competed in.  No, I didn't win...awwww!  LOL!  The competition was fierce as I said before.  The people who created cards for this contest are awesome.  I only hope that I can reach that level of professionalism I had observed in this competition.  And I will compete again...in fact I found 2 others challenges going on that I would like to compete in.  This is fun!

I will be talking to you soon!  Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

CPS 254

Ok...I'm baaacckkk! Twice in one day...so nice! As I mentioned in the last post I decided to try to compete in cardmaking contest. I never tried that before but I did have fun trying to create a card with the specifications that was required to win the prize. There seems to be contests on a weekly basis held by Card Positioning Systems where after I browsed their blog I jumpstarted my creative juices. Anyway, here is a sketch of the card that they wanted us to create...

This Week's Sketch (#254)

And here is my submission...

Is it a winner? Let's hope so! The competition is fierce though! But I'm glad that I even dared to compete! And it won't be the last time.

I have to check in on Wednesday to see how I did. Wish me luck! Holla later!
It's Saturday!  A day of rest...so to speak...from the drudgery of the routine work week and time for me to make more cards!  I have been so busy creating new cards.  I made these two new cards using my Grand Calibur...a gift from Santa Claus this last Christmas...thank you Santa!  LOL!  The Grand Calibur combined with the Cricut (and the Craftroom) is the dynamic duo of the greeting card world as far as I'm concerned!  I'm just having fun!  Truly awesome!

So its time that I share my two new babies with you.  Hope you like them...

I'm still working on that camera.  Maybe Santa could bring me one although its not Christmas time.  A sista can only hope!  LOL!

I'm not going to say goodbye because I am trying to create a card and post it by the end of the day to compete in some type of greeting card contest thingy or something.  I hopefully will submit it in time and win the contest!  So look for me later on.  Good luck me!

Until later!
